So, Patreon added a shop feature to the site and I wanted to test it out. The interesting thing about it is that I can make the products free for specific tiers, which may be a solution to something that has bothered me for quite a while: different versions of Guitarpro!
I know not everyone necessarily buys the newest version of a program when it comes out, and although the poll I had done showed the majority of people preferring GP 7/8, there were still many who use previous versions of Guitarpro.
Unfortunately, my website only allows me to upload one GP file, and that file is used to power the scrolling tab player and it's something that has irked me. However, I am able to upload everything (PDF,MP3,GP5/6/7/8) in a zip file and put that up in the shop, meaning if you're an UBER BEAR or higher, you can download it for free.
Another benefit, I think, is that even if you aren't a patron, you can still purchase from the shop, meaning that if there just happens to be an arrangement that you really want to play, you don't have to sign up for a membership you might not want to get it.
So, if you're a current patron that has access to the GP files, the products in the shop should be free for you. And if you aren't, you can still get them. Any UBER BEARS out there want to give it a try and let me know if you can freely access it?
